Carl Nygard was the first of three Nygard boys. Carl was a renounded baseball player who played third base as well as Brooks Robinson, but was known to hit like Mrs. Robinson. Carl attended Our Lady of Peace grade school and St. James High School. After graduating from high school he attended West Chester University. He met his wife Dorian at West Chester and upon graduation they settled in Hamburg, PA where they raised their two boys, Carl and Kris.
