Joseph Bailey Nygard
was born on November 8, 1896 in Worcester, MA and died Dec 28, 1981. He was a chauffeur/contract driver in the 1920's and later a police officer.
He had daughters Mary, who was born around 1924, Claire, who was born around 1926, and Elizabeth, who was born around 1928. His wife Terese's parents were from the Irish free state. It is believed that he took in Marie Nygard when she was young because of the inability of her mother, Ann Frances Nygard, to care for her.
He lived at 7 Dewitt in Bellville, NJ in the 30's and 40's and moved to 117 Union Avenue in Bellville, NJ in the 50's. He served in the Navy during World War II.
